Given that most of you are just here for the photos, not my ramblings, here are a few of our pictures from Tallinn...
(I've been trying to upload these for about a week now, but things keep going wrong. Gnomes in the computer? Llamas on the line? Who knows...)
A few thoughts:
Tallinn is very pretty, but not the friendliest place we've visited.
People stare at you when you have a lot of children. This is true in most places, but the "nature" of the stares varies. In Estonia, it seemed like outright incomprehension.
The Russian influence in Estonia is strong: Russian is the "default" second language, and has become more important in the last couple of years due to the influx of Russian-speaking Ukrainian refugees.
EasyJet has a lot to answer for. A lot of places have become so tourist-oriented that the only people there are, well, tourists, making it rather sad off-season.
Alcohol is remarkably cheap...
